| Coronavirus: Australia could have up to 500,000 secret infections
https://www.news.com.au/world/coronavirus/australia/coronavirus-australia-could-have-up-to-500000-secret-infections/news-story/3fba6921cefdddf118469bfb13c7669d
If the above study is correct - we've already lost the battle. looks like it has all been a waste of time. I said right from the start that it was impossible to stop an airborne virus. Let's get real - even hospital staff covered in PPE still get it - over 350 workers the last time I saw the results. All we can do is slow it down by wearing masks etc. People need to get back to work.

| What's the bet that by the time a vaccine is out most people have already had this virus and there is a herd immunity built up which causes the virus to die out of its own accord?
The Spanish Flu died out like that by 1920.

But that fat woman - No wonder she's so fat - she's too fat to even walk - she needs a mobility scooter - and still she shovels fatty food down her gob in a public food court where you are not supposed to eat right now. She doesn't wear a mask which is contrary to the public health regulations. Nothing is done by a so called security guard who should have called the police had had her charged and fined $200 and also banned her fat arse from that shopping center.

| Masks:
Just got back from a large shopping center in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I only saw 3 people who weren't wearing a mask:
One was a Middle Eastern looking young bloke in a fruit and vegetable shop - touching and squeezing fruit.
Another was a guy pushing a bicycle into the center.
Lastly there was a massively obese woman on a mobility scooter stuffing her face with food in the food court.
It seems that the message hasn't reached all people. There was a security guard there who walked right past the woman on the mobility scooter and did nothing.

| Is this the End Times? https://www.ucg.org/bible-study-tools/booklets/the-horsemen-of-revelation/the-horsemen-of-revelation-the-pale-horse-of-pestilence The Horsemen of Revelation The Pale Horse of PestilencePrevious articles in this series covered the meaning of the first three of the horsemen of Revelation—religious deception, war and famine. What does the fourth, the pale green horse and its rider, signify? In this series we have been examining each of the first four seals of Revelation 6. These seals, dramatically depicted by four horsemen, show the effect of false religion, war, famine and plague among the earth’s population in the days leading to the return of Jesus Christ. | |

Coronavirus cases in Victoria have hit a record high with 484 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, as new figures reveal almost
90 per cent of people are failing to self-isolate when they become unwell. Perhaps they would prefer the option of a "mechanical ventilator"?

| The alternative to wearing a face mask!!! - Quote :
- There’s an alternative to affixing an affordable and effective piece of fabric to your face when you must leave the house.
And best of all, it’s completely covered by Medicare.
Introducing the mechanical ventilator, which can breathe on your behalf when COVID-19 has ravaged your respiratory system to the point where you can’t.
If you absolutely refuse to wear a mask for yourself – and for the benefit of others – then you could soon be acquainted with this device.
Found in the intensive care unit at your local hospital, ventilators feature an endotracheal tube that’s shoved down your nose or throat and into the windpipe.
It’s then connected to the machine that forces a mix of air and oxygen into your lungs, which will by now be struggling to function.
Thanks to its nifty design, the doctors and nurses who will provide you around-the-clock care (while wearing face masks) can easily clean the inevitable build-up of mucus from the pipe in your throat with a bit of suction. https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/health/health-problems/australians-who-refuse-to-wear-face-masks-listen-up-theres-a-free-alternative-on-offer/news-story/937d22c0f3957f2e93ba6fe336a3b50d

| OK - it's not any Govt. website I can find but it says here:
https://www.heraldsun.com.au/coronavirus/everything-you-need-to-know-about-melbournes-new-mandatory-mask-rules/news-story/21a776b44d355f4f3fe843fd526311f3
DO YOU HAVE TO WEAR A MASK WHILE DRIVING ?
If you are driving in a car by yourself or with a member of your household, you do not need to wear a face mask but you should carry one with you for when you exit the vehicle. If you are in a car with other people for work or rideshare purposes then you must wear a mask.

How to stop your glasses fogging up when wearing a mask
This is a common complaint, but there are some hacks to get avoid the condensation. Online forums such as Reddit are full of ideas that range from putting a piece of wire in the mask to bend it tightly over the bridge of your nose, to rubbing shaving foam on the lens and wiping it off with a tissue, not water. But here's one of the more authoritative suggestions, which was published in the Annals of The Royal College of Surgeons of England. Authors Sheraz Shafi Malik and Shahbaz Shafi Malik noted theatre staff who wore glasses found their lenses would mist up when wearing a face mask. Not great when you've got a scalpel in hand and a patient on the table. "This effect can be a nuisance and even incapacitate the person," the authors wrote, before outlining a "simple method to prevent this annoying phenomenon". The answer? "Immediately before wearing a face mask, wash the spectacles with soapy water and shake off the excess," they wrote. "Then, let the spectacles air dry or gently dry off the lenses with a soft tissue before putting them back on. Now the spectacle lenses should not mist up when the face mask is worn."

| Experiment.
Well - I tried wearing a mask while driving today. I wear spectacles and they kept fogging up so that I couldn't see. I tried putting the mask in different positions but the air kept escaping from the top of the mask & condensing on my spectacles.
I don't know what to do. Maybe I could try another mask that might seal better at the top?

Just got back from a large shopping center in East Melbourne. I wore a mask and more than half the people were wearing them. I also bought 4 packs of masks for $10. ( 50 cents each) Well done! The rest of the shoppers will have to buy some and start wearing them or get fined! I think it is a good idea. This is crazy - I'm supposed to wear a mask while I'm driving alone in my car. Daniel Andrews has gone insane.https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-07-19/face-masks-melbourne-victoria-rules-who-needs-to-wear-them/12470640 Should I wear a mask while driving?Mr Andrews says err on the side of caution and wear a mask whenever possible. Yes, that means even if you are driving a car."It's not like police will be pulling over every single vehicle or every single person to check you are wearing a mask but err on the side of caution," he says. "Err on the side of doing more than less."

| Victoria reports 363 new cases, masks mandatory outside.
https://www.afr.com/politics/federal/warning-for-nsw-20200719-p55dcq
Victorian premier Daniel Andrews said there are 363 new cases today, three new deaths. Two men in their 90s and a woman in her 90s have died.
Of the new cases, 36 are connected to known outbreaks and 327 are under investigation.
The premier announced that people in Melbourne and Mitchell Shire will need to wear masks when going outside during lockdown.
The new rule will be enforced from midnight Wednesday and a $200 fine will be issued for those caught not wearing a mask.
"If you are out of your home for one of the four permitted reasons, then you need to be wearing a mask or a face coverings.
"It need not be a hospital-grade mask, it can be one of the handmade masks like I was wearing when I came in today. It can be a scarf," the Premier said.
The state has 2.5-3 million masks on order, with the first batch of 300,000 due to arrive this week.

| Regional manufacturers race to build machines that help frontline workers combat coronavirus
Australia’s only surgical mask manufacturer Med-Con, in the northern Victorian town of Shepparton, is playing an important role in the fight against coronavirus with some help from the Defence Force. In March, the Federal Government asked Med-Con to increase its supply of masks from two million to 60 million by November.
