I am waiting for the prices to drop to obtain a low Covid price on a place. I sold my house in the good times and now I'm renting a small place and waiting. What makes you think house prices will drop? Foreclosures once the bank payment holiday is over.

Solution. Find some solo mother and pay her $25 per day - cash under the table. There are 100s of 1000s of them around who would be happy to get that money and do a good job at looking after your kids. Look after your own kids! Not possible these days when couples with kids have huge mortgages.
That old chestnut! It wasn't easy way back either, you just bought the house you could afford and didn't buy all the "must have" stuff that everybody thinks they "need" today. Only 1 car and kids shared a bedroom. Mum stayed home until the kids went to school, then got a part time job. It can still be done as my daughter and SIL bought a house (4 bedrooms) and she stayed home until all 3 kids went to school. She still only works part-time.
Except these days you need a huge mortgage for a one bedroom dump. Move to somewhere that you can afford to buy. A 2-bedroom, unfurnished place will cost you $400+ per week to rent in Canberra. If you want a house, it will cost you about $600 a week to rent, maybe more.

| When you look at Labor and whom they push forward to promote their ideals - Kenneally, Chalmers, Plibersek - you would never vote Labor. If they can’t do better than that lot, they should give up now.
The NSW bill won’t get up and if it does some bully’s be having a holiday
As for workers no one wants to work these days - not even government are working “due to COVID we are working remotely and are unable to assist at this time”
LABOR'S HATRED OF MEN Mark Latham's Outsiders Yesterday at 13:55
Looking at Anthony Albanese's budget reply, he's targeting assistance to invalid pensioners, public housing and women, and that's all.
Amazing how a party founded by working men now has a leader who goes out of his way not to mention working men.
In NSW State Parliament, Labor has gone further.
They have introduced a Bill called 'Coercive Control' designed to solely arrest men, with the offences including 5-10 years jail time for blokes who told embarrassing 'humiliating' stories about their wives 15 years ago! This is an off-the-radar hatred of men.
What is the truth about the COVID recession and job security? Actually, the most secure jobs in Australia at the moment are in sectors that are female dominated: the public service, GP doctors, vets, lawyers, teachers, nurses and office management.
How about we go back to helping 'Australians In Need', the battlers who want to work hard and have a go, regardless of their race, gender or sexuality.

| ScoMo's snoring interrupts Albo's boring rubbish.Federal budget 2020: Scott Morrison ignores Anthony Albanese’s budget reply speechAlexis Carey OCTOBER 8, 20209:10PM PM Scott Morrison has been savaged for closing his eyes, playing with his phone and turning his back during Albo’s budget reply.Prime Minister Scott Morrison and fellow Coalition MPs have been slammed by high-profile Australians for repeatedly disrespecting Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese during his budget speech. Mr Albanese delivered his reply to the federal budget on Thursday night, outlining a raft of ALP policies, including childcare reform. But during his speech, attention soon turned to the behaviour of his political rivals. Almost immediately, a string of well known Aussies as well as everyday people began sharing screenshots of politicians visibly ignoring the Labor leader as he spoke. Mr Morrison, for example, turned away from Mr Albanese and repeatedly fiddled with his phone and even closed his eyes during the speech. | Federal Budget response: Opposition leader Anthony Albanese pledges big savings on childcare
Labor leader Anthony Albanese has pledged to cover the cost of up to 90 per cent of childcare for low income families in his budget reply speech. It means Mr Albanese’s big budget pitch on childcare could leave some parents with out-of-pocket costs as little as $10 a day. For a family spending $110 a day on childcare the out-of-pocket cost could be slashed to just $10. But cost of living relief will also be offered to the vast majority of families using childcare with Labor pledging the changes will leave 97 per cent of families better off. Even the rich will get a more generous deal, with Labor lifting the income threshold where childcare subsidies are scrapped to a combined family income of $500,000. “Working mothers should be able to afford child care for their kids. It’s as simple as that,’’ Mr Albanese said. “Women are the key to kickstarting our economy again. In the worst recession in a hundred years, we have to make sure women aren’t forced to choose between their family and their jobs.” “We can’t just let fees and out-of-pocket costs keep skyrocketing. Only Labor has a plan to put more money in the family budget and help women get back to work, quickly.”
