Kevin Rudd has found himself in the middle of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal after the billionaire paedophile gave US$650,000 to his peace think-tank.
The former prime minister said on Wednesday he was 'blindsided' when he realised the now-dead sex offender donated the exorbitant sum to New York-based International Peace Institute.
Epstein was already a convicted sex offender who had served time in jail when he started donating to the institute, which Mr Rudd has chaired for six years.
The disgraced hedge fund manager committed suicide in his jail cell in August 2019 after being arrested on child sex trafficking charges.
